A beautiful garden is a great place to hang out with your friends and have a barbeque party. Your backyard is also the ideal place for parties that are a little more special, like a birthday or even a wedding receptions. For these, we are going to offer you a few tips on how to dress your garden for the occasion.
Light in your trees
Perhaps you already have a lighting system for your garden, but if you want to create a more romantic and festive atmosphere, make sure you place some lights in the trees. If you have a low budget and not much time on your hands, use your Christmas lights.
However, if find the time to do this, take a few jars and punch some holes into the lid. Place a lit candle inside and hang them from the branches. Tip: make sure the holes in the lid are big enough (fire needs oxygen) and be extra careful where you place them, you wouldn’t want to burn anything.
Flowers
The flowers should be a must on any special occasions. Cut some fresh flowers and put them in old jars and bottles. Make sure you leave some empty recipients for the flowers your guests will bring. Tip: Never throw away glass recipients; they are very useful in re-purposing projects. If they have a label, leave them to soak in warm water for a few hours and you will be able to peel it off easily.
Ice!
If it’s summer, keeping your drink cold will be mandatory. You wouldn’t want to go back and forward to the fridge in your kitchen, would you? Fill a recipient with a lot of ice and place your drinks inside. But why should it be a classic bucket when you can find a non-conventional object, like a wheelbarrow?
