How to make outdoor furniture from pallets
In case you didn’t not know, pallets are an item that is used to move and store different things. They are widely used in factories for this purpose, so we can easily get them. Pallets look like you see in the image above.
They began to be widely used in decoration, a little with the idea of reusing rustic elements, and making them decorative in an alternative home plan. But over time, these pallets have been transformed into home elements with increasing sophistication, to such a level that they no longer look like pallets, nor do they look rustic.
How to prepare the pallets before turning them into a piece of furniture
The previous preparation of a pallet is not very complex, so any of us could do that. All you have to do is treat them like any rustic wood. Apply anti-fungus, remove nails or other attached elements and most importantly, sand the surface very well.
When choosing the pallets that you are going to use, you must also make sure that they are well, without breaks or holes and in case you need to stack them, that they are all the same size.
Outdoor chairs or sofas
You can create your own chairs and armchairs for your garden or terrace. Make some comfortable structures that you can accommodate with cushions and foams that allow you to enjoy your new seats.
Swings from pallets
One of the most entertaining ideas built with pallets is swings.
You can make a very simple swing like the one in the first photo. You can also make up some swings for two persons. Decorate them with cushions and accessories that allow you to use them as comfortable outdoor seats. Look how cute they can be:
Planter boxes from pallets
One of the most common ways in which we see the pallets, is as planters. In the following photo we see a fairly simple idea of making a small garden with pallets:
In the following three photos we see a pallet in its original state, used as a pot holder; it gives it a rustic touch and above all, very useful. If you want to add even more color to your vertical garden, you can paint the pallets with a color that you like: yellow, red, turquoise. Then you only have to combine that color with the plants you have chosen.
