The best ingredient for organic fungicide recipes is backing soda.
To prepare a homemade fungicide from baking soda we will only need three ingredients:
- Backing soda
- Milk
- Water
We need 1 liter of water, 200 ml of milk and 10 grams of backing soda. Mix and put in a sprayer. The quantities below are recommended for adult plants. If you have small plants, use half of the amount mentioned here. The Milk has calcium, iron and other nutrients, so we are going to nourish the plant, make it stronger and in the future it will not be so sensitive to diseases.
Here is another recipe, also containing backing soda, but dish soap instead of milk.
- A small tablespoon of baking soda
- A small spoonful of neutral natural soap
- One liter of water
Mix all the ingredients together. Once they have been correctly dissolved in the water, we can spray the indoor and outdoor plants that have fungi that we want to eliminate.
One of the aspects that we have to take into account when making this natural fungicide is that it is very important that the soap is natural and neutral. In this way, we can be sure that it is not a soap that will affect the plant and in addition, that the initial pH will not counteract the effect of the sodium bicarbonate.
IMPORTANT: It should be noted that anytime you use a home mix, you should ALWAYS test it out on a small portion of the plant first to make sure that it will not harm the plant.
